Spring Eggs

🌸🐔 Spring is in the Air… and Eggs are in the Nest! 🥚☀️
The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and our hens have decided it's time to get back to work! 🐓✨ After the slower winter months, when shorter daylight hours naturally reduce egg production, our girls are laying again—a sure sign that spring is on the way! 🌷🌞
Chickens rely on natural daylight to regulate their laying cycles, so as the days lengthen, their bodies respond by producing more eggs. It’s one of those little seasonal rhythms that remind us how beautifully connected farm life is to nature. 💛
To celebrate, here’s a simple and delicious farm-fresh egg recipe for you to try!
Spring Veggie Frittata 🥚🌿

- 6 fresh eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp salt & ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- ½ cup diced bell peppers
- ½ cup chopped spinach or kale
- ¼ cup diced onions
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, feta, or your favorite!)
🥣 Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F.
2️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
3️⃣ Heat butter/oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions, peppers, and greens until soft.
4️⃣ Pour egg mixture over veggies, sprinkle cheese on top, and cook for 2 minutes until edges start to set.
5️⃣ Transfer to oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until fully set.
6️⃣ Slice, serve, and enjoy the taste of spring! 🌱🍽️
We’re so excited for egg season! Once the girls are laying consistently again we will be able to set up our weekly eggs drops for our local peeps.
